These are a few of my top shell book recommendations:
“Bodywise” was the first book I read about Hellerwork and I love the holistic approach to not only working with the physical body but also addressing our thoughts, beliefs, and emotions in treatment. If you are interested in Hellerwork this is a great first step to introduce you to the work.
“Body Centered Psychotherapy” had a profound affect on me during my Hellerwork SI training, so much so that I went on to spend 3 years studying with Ron Kurtz the author and founder of the method. His approach to integrating western psychology and Buddhist principals such as mindfullness, self study, non-violence, and open attention deeply resonated with me. A must read if you want to learn how to gently better understand yourself, your beliefs and patterns.
“Embracing Ourselves” is a wonderful overview of the Voice Dialogue method which is taught in every Hellerwork SI training. Voice Dialogue helps you to better understand your internal operating system and gives you tools to help you take into consideration all parts of yourself to make informed and aligned decisions in your life about who you want to be.
