How professional athletes are able to stay in top shape all season

We tend to idolize pro athletes for their agility, skill, stamina, and endurance. Many seem almost super human.

Discipline to a healthy diet and lifestyle play an important role, as does intense, focused training, but the real key to their staying power all season is their ability to maintain cellular energy.

It’s no secret that pro athletes use Sports and Energy Medicine technologies to help optimize health, accelerate healing, enhance performance, and speed recovery. Without this assistance they would struggle to stay in top shape, and perform and recover as well as they do.

Cellular energy is essential

How is your cellular energy?

Emerging research is showing the mitochondria in our cells are not only vital cellular energy generators, which produce all the energy the body needs to function, they’re also key regulators of cellular defense. They monitor and respond to changes in the cell. When they sense the cell is stressed, threatened, or injured they begin to downregulate cellular energy production to limit cellular damage. Expert mitochondrial researcher, Dr. Robert Naviaux MD, calls this CDR or the ‘Cell Danger Response’.

Causes that can trigger the CDR, and a shift from energy mode to defense mode, include;
